why airh2u?

PATENTED

The AIRH2U humidifier is a green technology solution that addresses the no to low humidity in geographic locations. These locations bring winter months that have a blustery cutting cold that has no moisture throughout the United States as well as internationally. No humidity isn't just found in the blustery winter areas, it also exist in very dry desert like climates as well.

The AIRH2U unit was born when I experienced the no to low humidity problems first hand. After living in economy to mid siz hotels for 6 months, from October to March throughout PA, NJ, MINN, VA, and CHI. In this environment I started to notice a constant in all my locations, when I turned on the heater, there was instant warmth but it was the air was completely dry, void of almost all moisture. This is when the AH HA moment happened. I didn't want to buy a humidifier and have to pack it everywhere I went which I would probably end up forgetting in a hotel only to be out 50.00 and frustrated. After conversations with other weary travelers, I learned they too suffered the same as I did. Some of the most common complaints were dry skin, itchy throat, sinus problems, coughing just to name a few. The problem is that in an environment where there is no moisture such as a hotel room on a freezing winter day or just the dry cracked skin we all have experienced during a blustery winters day. The moisture has to come from somewhere, the human body being mostly water... You guessed it. While just sitting there in your hotel room, it's slowly taking moisture from your body. In extreme cases of no to low humidity, one may notice these things sooner than later.

The PATENTED AIRH2U green solution is a humidifier that attaches to the PTAC (Packed Terminal Air Conditioner) with 2 adjustable arms which allow it to fit various manufacture vent styles. The arms operate on a very basic principle. Once the arms are attached to the humidifier and inserted through the vents, one of the arms is positioned next to a vertical support of the vent for added stability. The body of the unit is then filled with water. Once it's filled gravity goes to work holding it in place. Inside the unit are 2 woven paper wicks; 1 on the right and 1 on the left. These wicks are positioned just inside inside the vent holes on either end. The unit itself consist of a lid with an intake scoop which faces the vents which forces the hot air into the unit. Once the air is in the unit, it is then forced through the woven paper wicking material on either side causing water molecules to attach to the heated air and humidifying the hot air. The airflow allowed in is greater than the amount of air being forced out, this creates a pressure inside the unit and forces the dry hot air to absorb water while passing through the wicking material before it is allowed to escape through the vents on either end. The AIRH2U unit is green in the fact that it has no moving parts and uses needs no energy source to operate.
